Before my real estate career, I worked for a real estate law firm for four years doing title examinations. An attorney friend and CPA encouraged me to obtain my real estate license, which I did in 1973 and, in 1976, I received my Broker’s license. I purchased an existing Re/Max franchise in 1980 and, after selling my interest in that franchise to my partners in 1985, I received an opportunity to purchase a new Re/Max franchise, which I did. That company eventually grew to four offices in the Metro Atlanta area. In 2011, we decided to discontinue our franchises and my wife, Pam, and I purchased an existing independent real estate company, Realty Associates of Atlanta, LLC.
I attended St. Andrews, a private boarding school in Sewanee, TN and graduated from high school in 1968. Afterwards, I attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, TN as a pre-med student majoring in Biology. After obtaining my real estate license in 1973, I transferred to Georgia State University, majoring in Real Estate.
I am a native of Atlanta. My wife, who is also my business partner, and I have lived in Decatur, GA for 38 years. We have three beautiful daughters and four precious grandchildren, with whom we enjoy spending much of our free time. My hobbies include motorcycle riding, scuba diving and wood-working.
I have been a successful real estate broker in Atlanta for over forty years, remaining active in real estate residential and commercial sales and property management. My passion is our company, helping our agents to become successful and helping my clients with their real estate needs, whether purchasing or selling their homes and investment properties.
